My name is Susie Jimenez, I own a catering company "Spice It Up" in the Roaring Fork Valley for seven years now. I am also a runner up on the Food Network Star Season 7 that aired the Summer of 2011. I have had so much success with the show and my catering business and have decided to do something for a good cause. I went on board with the Shining Stars Foundation in March of 2011, because of their great cause to help children with cancer and life threatening illnesses live as much as they can, as kids and not to worry so much about the illness they have.

I feel so strong about the cause and I'm putting together a fundraiser on February 4, 2012 at the Dancing Bear located in Aspen, Colorado from 6:30-10:00pm. Everyone involved has donated their time and/or items. I have donated all the food and my labor, along with staff to put out the best food imaginable. The menu will be passed Hors d'oeuvres and a Fondue Station:

Sopes with Truffled White Bean Puree and Cabbage Slaw

Ricotta and Blue Cheese Stuffed Jalapeños with Lemon Crust

We will also have assorted drinks such as, sangria, wine, beer not to mention horchata and hibiscus tea. We have so many more details we need to get together along with our silent auction items that will benefit the kids' foundation. We found this incredible band called "Already Gone" that will be providing the music. The tickets are on sale for $75 a person that you can purchase by cash, check or credit card. You can also make contributions by donating items we can auction off, cash donations and/or something from your establishment. My information is listed below if you need further details.
