Jean Graca

     Jean Graca was born in the beautiful city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the third largest city in the world. Jean began his musical career playing the bass guitar at 16 and has been for the last 21 years. In Brazil Jean would travel to missionary’s playing gospel music. Jean has studied music learning various styles including Jazz Rock, Latin Jazz, and Bassa nova. Jean has a special interest in tap. Tap is a style of playing that incorporates the melody and harmony simultaneously and gives the bass player a new flavor of bass playing.
     Jean’s studio work and music projects include Hugo Black, which also won first place at a music festival against 12 other bands, Cole Campbell, Rattle Bones, Powder house, Down Valley Syndrome, In the Pocket, and Already Gone. Jean say’s “the combination of talented experienced musicians and fun people creates a perfect scenario for a successful party band.”
     Jean’s influences include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mr. PC, The Police, Victor Wooten, Jack Pastorio, and Stu Hamm.
Jean’s bass guitar equipment consists of a Bill Dickects signature Conklin seven string,, and an Ibanez BTB 456 six string. He plugs into a Gallien Krueger 1001 RB amp head with a Hartke Hydrive speaker cabinet loaded with 4-10’s and 1000 watts of power!
